ABOUT
Hello! My name is Alisha Johnson and I am a Certified Yoga Teacher through Root to Rise since July of 2018 and a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer since July of 2019. I was born and raised in Northern California surrounded by redwoods and the beautiful Pacific Coast. I moved to Fort Collins, CO and received my BA in Sociology and BS in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University in 2015. I graduated with my Master's in Social Work from the University of Denver with a concentration in Health and Wellness in 2020. I also recently graduated from the Be Free Breathwork (TM) certification program with Melanie Lighthouser in 2021. I am currently working as a Mental Health Therapist, Yoga Teacher, CrossFit Coach, and Breathwork Facilitator.
The purpose of yoga to me is to leave the ego and transcend into a state of curiosity and exploration through incorporating breath and movement. My passion is helping guide others towards a healthy and holistic lifestyle. For the past five years I have been offering beginner friendly classes to the Northern Colorado area as well as one on one counseling sessions that address mind, body, and spirit.
Connecting to oneself on a deeper level is why I am opening my doors towards serving all individuals from any region. I am now offering private yoga classes and Breathwork workshops in the comfort of your home, my home, or Zoom. I am also offering one on one counseling sessions through Kindred Counseling. We currently take Blue Cross Blue Shield and United. My modalities practiced incorporate Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and a Strengths-Based approach.
